The best way to start your new date is to arrange a meeting somewhere in a public place, where lots of people crowd every evening. It shouldn't be too late or too early (are you going to come back home tonight?). Also it would be nice, if you set the end of your date. It is good to tell your good friend where you're going to be and how long you're going to stay there. Anyway even if you feel sure that the person you want to meet is a good one, you never know what to expect. Probably you called each other many times or wrote thousands letters, you'll surely want to be out of danger. If you feel comfortable with the person then you can relax and start your conversation.
But if something troubles you, or you feel not at your place you can always end the date in half an hour or so. Begin your conversation with the things you already know. By this you can always understand if the person was fair or not. Simply invent several key-questions and keep them in your mind. Of course you don't have to ask them one by one, do it carefully, slowly inserting them in your dialogue. These questions are indicators of your further actions. Either you quit or continue.
Try not to leave the table while your drink is still filled. It is important. Going somewhere gives a good opportunity for everyone to drop something in your drink, and you'll never know who did it. And if you don't want to feel sudden headache or go sleepy, follow this rule. Coming back to your place, take a new and fresh drink, don't drink from unattended glass.
If the things are OK.
Set a time of your new date. Going home phone your friend and say that everything is well (don't keep him or her waiting for too long) in order not to provoke extreme measures from his/her point. Try to be in touch with this person while dating - he watches your back. Go home directly; try not to organize night walks after the date. Think about why your date was so wonderful, and if it is worth going on. Then write or phone your partner and say how you feel after the date if you still want to see the person.
